Laser cleaning – gentle and effective
Uudenkaupungin Teräsrakenne Oy carries out laser cleaning in Southwest Finland, at the customer's premises or, by agreement, at our workshop. The method cleans surfaces thoroughly while sparing the base material.
Where it is used
Laser cleaning removes dirt, rust, paint and other contamination, especially from metal surfaces. It is suitable, for example, for:
- removing rust and paint from metal surfaces
- removing oil and dirt from metal surfaces
- preparing surfaces that will be welded or coated
- cleaning casting moulds made from different materials
- removing paints, compounds, adhesives and oxides
We use a 200-watt laser cleaning unit. We are happy to tell you whether the method suits your job.
A contact-free cleaning method
Laser cleaning is a contact-free method which, used correctly, does not damage the base material. It does not need cleaning liquids or gases, for example.
The work area is marked off and protected to meet laser-safety requirements, and the operator uses the proper protection, such as laser goggles and a respirator. The method leaves no cleaning-agent residue.
Cleaning at your premises
We can do the laser cleaning at your premises. We bring the equipment and the protective gear, and we agree a time so that the work disturbs your operations as little as possible.
